Our Team

Brian joined SFM in 1993 and is currently the fourth generation of leadership. His Finance degree from Xavier University and MBA from the University of Notre Dame allow him to assist his commercial clients in complex coverage solutions. He currently serves on the Clinton County Port Authority Board and is a member of Entrepreneur Organization and the Wilmington Rotary Club.

John joined SFM in 1988 and currently leads our personal lines and agriculture divisions. He creates personalized insurance solutions for individuals and families as well as advises agriculture clients in the coverage they need. He studied at The Ohio State University and currently serves on the Clinton County MRDD board.

Donna joined SFM in 2018, having over 20 years’ experience in the commercial insurance industry. Donna’s objective is to be a trusted advisor to our clients, assisting them with their coverage needs and building strong client focused relationships. She graduated college achieving a paralegal degree. She actively volunteers in the community for various causes.

Anessa joined SFM in 2010 and has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.  She works with SFM’s larger, more complex commercial clients, helping them with coverage selection and answering tough questions.  Anessa has earned the Certified Insurance Service Representative and Certified Professional Insurance Agent designations.  Anessa has started a non-profit “Igniting a Spark to Prevent Suicide, Inc.”, to provide education and support to communities, schools, organizations, and individuals.

Carole has been with SFM since 1995 and has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She works with our larger, more complex commercial clients, helping them with coverage selection and answering tough questions. She works with and assists on all bonding needs of our commercial clients.

Cindy joined SFM in 2015 as a Commercial Lines Account Manager. She has 10 years of insurance experience working for a national insurance carrier prior to coming to SFM. Cindy’s expertise ranges from smaller businesses to agribusiness. She focuses on customer relations and relationship building.

Sherry has been with SFM since 1993. As the lead Personal Lines Account Manager, Sherry’s dedication to her insurance career has motivated her to earn her CPSR, CPIA and CISR designations. Her clients experience this level of commitment with each coverage conversation. Sherry also is active in the Chillicothe youth bowling leagues.

Kathy is a Personal Lines Account Manager new to SFM in 2017. She graduated from Wilmington College with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications & English. Kathy is excited to join our team and brings with her over 20 years of customer care experience.

Dan joined SFM in 2020 as a Personal Lines Account Manager having worked in the insurance industry for over 13 years. Dan graduated from Franklin University with both a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master of Marketing degree. Serving in the Air Force and living in Ohio his entire life gives Dan the drive to serve his local community.

Carolyn joined SFM in 2007 as our Claims Manager. She works tirelessly as a liaison between our carriers and our clients to satisfactorily resolve claims issues. In addition to her claims responsibilities, she manages SFM’s IT and communications infrastructure.

Julie came to work at SFM in 1997 as our Controller. She handles the accounting, human resources, IT and building maintenance for all of our corporate offices. Julie is active member of the Greater Wilmington Human Resource Association, on the Board of Directors of the Clinton County Leadership Institute, and a graduate of Wright State University.

Brittany joined SFM in 2022 as our administrative assistant.  She manages the phones for the organization and the walk-in traffic in our Wilmington office while assisting accounting and sales.  She is a devoted wife and mother of four.  She is a graduate of Laurel Oaks CDC where she completed a two-year business management program and was a National Honor Society member.  She has an associates degree from Purdue Global University where she is also a member of the National Honor Society of Collegiate Scholars.
